On his way to Fantasia, Mr. Kaneko made his first trip to Chicago. In addition to visiting some friends and seeing the sights of an American city that has fascinated him since youth, GMK screened as part of G-Fest X at the Pickwick Theater in Park Ridge, Illinois. Mr. Kaneko was pleased with the venue, the audience, and the praise given the film both prior to and following its performance. The next morning, Mr. Kaneko stopped by to catch up with some old friends who were attending the event. The rest of his time was spent sightseeing, catching new American films, and sampling the local food. Chicago and the hospitality of its people receive two solid thumbs up from Mr. Kaneko.
